Vandenberg Air Force Base - High-penetration bullets rendered an MX 'Peacekeeper' intercontinental ballistic missile inoperable as it was being transported by rail. Unknown attackers caused dollars 11m ( pounds 7.3m) in damage. The weapon was being taken to the Vandenberg base in California. AFP
