China starts capitalism classes
PEKING (AP) - A university founded by Communists four decades ago to train central planners and party functionaries is retooling to turn out capitalists. The official China Daily newspaper said People's University is offering new courses in marketing, trade, personnel management, international business, taxation and small business management. Emphasis on scientific socialism, the international Communist movement, national economic planning, basic Marxism and pricing is being dropped, the paper said.
