Cuba outbursts

Night-time blackouts in Havana, caused by electricity cuts, provoked vandalism and outbursts of anger against Cuba's government, Reuter reports from Havana. Foreign diplomats and residents reported numerous incidents in which individuals or groups damaged property and shouted anti-government slogans in many parts of the capital in recent days. The state media maintained a complete silence over the incidents. But Cuban officials privately acknowledge discontent over the economic crisis and frustrations over daily hardships have frequently surfaced.
