Cuban wrestlers defect to US

Three members of Cuba's national wrestling team sought political asylum in Miami during a stopover on the way to the US Open International of Freestyle Wrestling in New Jersey, Reuter reports from Miami. The three men, Jesus Wilson, Lazaro Reinoso and Ihosvany Negret, were part of a 10-athlete team due to represent Cuba at the weekend tournament at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
