Fourteen people died after a bus plunged off a bridge in northern Greece today.
The bus, believed to be carrying a total of 28 people, skidded from Greece's main north-south highway about 30 miles south-west of Thessaloniki from a span more than 30 feet over a river. The bus was on an overnight journey from Thessaloniki to Athens.
Greece has been gripped by an unusual cold spell for several weeks with snow in many areas and flooding that has damaged roadways.
