Forest fires in Greece

Large forest fires, driven by hot, dry winds, raged uncontrolled in several parts of Greece, including the Vaya Calda national park and the slopes of Mount Olympus, AP reports from Athens. A 67-year-old woman died on Sunday in the Peloponnesus peninsula when she was trapped by flames on a country road. She was the 18th person to die in a fire or a related accident this month.
