A former French minister has claimed that a member of a previous government was caught abusing "small boys" at an orgy in Morocco several years ago.
The ex-education minister Luc Ferry said the case had been known about at the highest levels of state but had been hushed up.
Mr Ferry did not name the minister. His comments followed the arrest of the IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn over the alleged sexual abuse of a hotel maid and the resignation of another minister over accusations he abused two employees.
