Funereal rush
Dozens of elderly people in China rushed to commit suicide last month to get a burial and avoid cremation, Reuter reports from Peking. At least 40 pensioners took sleeping pills, threw themselves into rivers or starved themselves to death after officials of Haian county in Jiangsu province ordered that anyone dying after 1 April would be cremated, the People's Public Security News reported.
