Khmer Rouge kidnap foreigners
Phnom Penh - Police are hunting for a Briton and two other foreigners kidnapped in a Khmer Rouge attack on a Cambodian train. The 28-year-old London man, an Australian and a Frenchman were among up to 200 people abducted on Tuesday in the worst act of banditry since Cambodia's political rebirth 14 months ago. Women and local people among the group were later released. The names of the Western tourists are known but will not be released until their families are informed. Fears were expressed for their safety because two Britons and an Australian recently abducted by the Khmer Rouge are feared dead. AFP
