Minister quits
SKOPJE (Reuter, AP) - Macedonia's Foreign Minister, Denko Maleski, resigned after being criticised by opposition parties for failing to win wider international recognition of the republic.
Macedonia said it had asked Greece for permission to set up a consulate in Athens. Greece has been blocking international recognition of the former Yugoslav republic.
