AMSTERDAM (AP) - The number of asylum requests in the Netherlands jumped 24 per cent in August from July, the sharpest increase in recent months. 'They (asylum seekers) think they now have less chance in Germany so they are coming to the Netherlands,' said a Dutch Justice Ministry spokesman.
