'Parasailing donkey' dies

A donkey that was forced to go parasailing by her keeper last summer, causing worldwide revulsion, has died. The 18-year-old animal, named Anapka, suffered a heart attack after falling ill in December, the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper said.

Anapka was sent into the sky over Golubitskaya beach in Russia as a promotional stunt in July. A YouTube video of her brays of terror made headlines worldwide. She spent her final months on a farm near Moscow, eating fresh fruit and vegetables and getting massages.
