Privatisation blow
The Polish parliament rejected a key privatisation bill, dealing a blow to the shaky coalition government led by the Prime Minister, Hanna Suchocka, Reuter reports from Warsaw. The plan to privatise a large part of state industry in one go was one of the benchmarks of economic reform.
