Russia's parliamentary Speaker, Ruslan Khasbulatov, said it would be 'a national disgrace' if the government did not fulfil a controversial rocket- engine sale to India, Reuter reports from Moscow.
Russia had agreed to sell India dollars 350m ( pounds 230m) of rocket engines and technology but the US opposed the deal, which it said broke agreements on preventing the spread of missile technology.
