UN tries to salvage Yemen talks
Geneva - Representatives of the Yemeni government and the defeated secessionists in the south held three hours of talks yesterday 'in a good atmosphere,' the UN mediator Lakhdar Brahimi said. Mr Brahimi said the two sides had agreed on the need for a political dialogue and would maintain contacts with him to arrange a further meeting. Reuter
