Fee demand imperils hostages
Kampot - Government officials are jeopardising attempts to free three Western hostages being held by outlawed Khmer Rouge guerrillas in Cambodia, a diplomatic source said yesterday. The source, who is closely involved in efforts to free the hostages, said that officials were demanding fees to act as intermediaries. Reuter
