LONDON - Serious human rights violations persist in Iran and there is mounting concern about a sharp rise in the number of Iranian opposition figures killed in exile, Amnesty International said, Reuter reports.

In a new report Amnesty highlights cases of long- term imprisonment, unfair trial, torture and execution, many of them of members of minorities. 'Political prisoners have spent several years in prison after unfair trials,' Amnesty said.
