Iranian hijacker surrenders
An Iranian hijacker surrendered to the authorities in Iraq with his wife and five children yesterday, hours after commandeering a plane from Iran to the port of Basra, Reuter reports from Baghdad. The man, who hijacked the Iranian Oil Ministry plane on an internal flight with 38 people on board, reportedly asked for political asylum in Iraq, or any other country that would take him and his family.
