The main donor agencies that halted aid to Kenya in 1991, demanding economic and political changes, said they were pleased with the reform effort, Reuter reports from Nairobi. 'We wanted stability to be restored and public confidence in economic management to be strengthened. Progress was achieved in that period,' an IMF official said.
