Kismayu pull-out
Two leading aid agencies have pulled out of the southern Somali port of Kismayu because they fear they will be attacked by warring clans, a UN spokesman said, Reuter reports from Mogadishu. Farouk Mawlawi said the Brussels-based Medecins Sans Frontieres had withdrawn its staff from Kismayu. The International Committee of the Red Cross closed its Kismayu operation on Wednesday after hand grenades were lobbed into its compound.
