Amsterdam - The Dutch Economics Ministry said yesterday it was acting to break up a price-fixing cartel in the church-candle industry. The Economics State Secretary, Yvonne van Rooy, said in a letter to the Dutch church- candle convention that 12 of the 15 suppliers to the Roman Catholic Church were involved, supplying 55 million pounds (25m kg) of candles a year.
