Explosions on Chinese film set

Dramatic footage has emerged from China showing a series of huge explosions on the set of a film that left several people injured.

According to local reports, three people were taken to hospital, one of whom required a leg amputation.

The video shows a set of explosions over a makeshift bridge, forcing those standing on the bridge to either jump in the water; or run for cover on land.

As people rush off the makeshift bridge, more explosions follow in the nearby forest.

The video also shows the aftermath of the explosions with the bridge totally damaged, and rubble surrounding the area.

The incident reportedly took place in Ji’an, Jiangxi Province on 8 January.

It is unclear whether or not the initial explosion was planned; but the reactions to the latter blasts suggest it was not.
