Monday 16 January 2012
An Israeli lawyer who defended the convicted Nazi war criminal John Demjanjuk has joined the legal team of the disgraced former President, Moshe Katsav.
Yoram Sheftel will help Katsav in a last attempt to overturn a rape conviction that sent him to prison last month. Tal Malik, an attorney at Mr Sheftel's law firm, confirmed he would help to defend Katsav, 66, who is serving seven years for rape and sexual harassment.
