Nigeria military leans on banks to reopen
Abuja - Nigeria's military government yesterday directed all banks to resume full operations immediately and threatened sanctions against those that fail to do so. Banks and many other businesses have been closed for weeks because of strikes in support of demands for the release of the presidential claimant, Moshood Abiola. Reuter
