Prison violence in Sao Paulo

A prisoner in Sao Paulo's Carandiru prison shows his wounds, following a riot at the weekend during which inmates say police massacred hundreds of prisoners. Human rights activists and inmates met yesterday to launch an independent investigation into the violence.
