Rabin demands Syria stick to deal
Jerusalem - Yitzhak Rabin, the Israeli Prime Minister, accused Syria of breaking an agreement to resume military-level peace talks and asked Washington to force Damascus to stick to the deal. Warren Christopher, the US Secretary of State, said on Sunday that ambassadors of Israel and Syria would meet in Washington within two weeks, adding it was a "technical issue" whether military representatives would join them. But Mr Rabin said: "I view it not as a technical matter but a violation of an agreement." Reuter
