Rebel advance
Rebel Azeri troops continued their two-pronged advance on the capital, Baku, yesterday, taking control of the town of Geokchay, where they executed the deputy mayor, AFP reports from Baku.
The forces of Colonel Suret Huseynov also seized the town of Akhsu and advanced to Ali Bayramly, 75 miles from the capital. Armenian forces were closing in on Azeri army headquarters at Agdam, east of Nagorny Karabakh, after taking eight villages, according to the Azeri Defence Ministry.
