Forty-six people were killed when Sierra Leone rebels attacked the town of Masingbi, 125 miles east of the capital, AFP reports from Freetown. The army was engaged in 'mopping-up operations' after last week's attack, in which 16 civilians and 30 rebels of Corporal Foday Sankoh's Revolutionary United Front lost their lives, a Defence Ministry spokesman said.
