Rwanda photographs win award

A child in Rwanda sits by the side of the road as a UN soldier passes by on patrol. This is one of a portfolio of pictures from the troubled African country which have won the Arthus-Bertrand Visa D'Or '94 award for the photographer Tom Stoddart of the Katz agency in London, it was announced yesterday.
