Solidarity demands state spending
More than 20,000 supporters of Poland's Solidarity trade union marched through Warsaw, demanding that the government ditch its tight budget and spend more, Reuter reports from Warsaw.
Solidarity wants more money for the public sector and to fight unemployment - demands which the government says could aggravate its budget deficit and push up inflation.
