Somalis gather for talks
ADDIS ABABA (AFP) - The Somali warlord Mohamed Farah Aideed arrived in Addis Ababa late yesterday to join informal talks with other Somali factions on achieving peace in their country, airport officials said.
General Aideed accepted the invitation to attend the talks, which are hosted by the Ethiopian President, Meles Zenawi, after the United States gave him pledges that his life would not be in danger.
