Strike suspended
Burundi's opposition suspended a strike and talked to the army after three days of ethnic and political clashes between Tutsis and Hutus left 46 dead, AFP reports from Bujumbura. The Collective of Opposition Parties said it was temporarily halting a protest over Burundi's leadership 'to enable salaried employees and households to collect their pay and stock up'.
