Sudan keeps doctors at home
Officials in Sudan are preventing medical doctors from leaving the country, Reuter reports from Khartoum. Doctors, who earn 6,000 Sudanese pounds ( pounds 11.50) a month, can expect to make about 100 times as much in Saudi Arabia. The al-Sudani al-Doulia newspaper quoted doctors as saying they were turned back from Khartoum airport and Suakin Port on the Red Sea where officials told them 'the country requires you people'.
