Ukraine hangs on to missiles
Ukraine will hang on to 46 nuclear-armed missiles even after it has ratified the START 1 disarmament treaty, President Leonid Kravchuk said, AFP reports from Moscow.
Mr Kravchuk promised that Ukraine would ratify Start, but claimed that the treaty did not apply to the SS-24 missiles that were built on its territory.
