Yemen holds back poll results
Yemen said yesterday it was delaying the announcement of initial results in its first parliamentary elections since the 1994 civil war because high voter turn-out had slowed counting.
"We are keen for accurate figures ... The [first] results will be announced at noon on Tuesday [9am GMT]," Saeed al-Hekaimi, spokesman for the Supreme Election Committee, told a news conference. Reuters - Sana'a
