Zambia set to re-elect leader
President Frederick Chiluba and his ruling party appeared headed for sweeping victory in Zambian national elections boycotted by the former President Kenneth Kaunda's main opposition group.
With results in from 58 of the 150 constituencies countrywide by 5pm yesterday, the ruling Movement for Multiparty Democracy had won 52 parliament seats, election officials said. AP - Lusaka
