Zulu boy heads back to Britain
A 12-year-old Zulu boy at the centre of a tug-of-love battle between his parents and the white family which raised him was last night heading back to Britain.
Sifiso Mahlangu's father, Charles, has agreed to let him stay in Britain as long as he goes home twice a year. He was expected to return to Salome Stopford, a white South African widow of Maida Vale, west London, who employed Sifiso's parents when she lived near Johannesburg. Mrs Stopford cared for the boy in Britain for four years before losing a court battle to adopt him.
