City buyers boost prime sales
City bonuses, it seems, have been responsible for the upturn in the prime property market. In the past year 42 per cent of the buyers who bought through Savills - whose average sale is around pounds 450,000 - were from the financial sector. The second largest group of purchasers were from the property sector, presumably recycling the commission they have taken from the City folk.
