Roommates have revealed some of the most awkward moments they have experienced while living in shared accommodation.

Among the confessions compiled on Whisper.sh, a website where people can anonymously share their stories, one person revealed they had to very quickly find a new roommate after discovering that their current one hated them.

“My first college roommate thought I was [asleep], got in bed with me, and whispered I’ve always hated you,” they recalled.

Another user of the website said: “My roommate accidentally texted me a text about me… It was about how much I was being a b***h to her and avoiding her.”

In one of the more embarrassing confessions, someone was caught naked in the kitchen after deciding to make a drink just before getting into the bath.

Another said: “I went into the kitchen to get a beer, when I came back my roommate was smelling the place where I sat and said, ‘you smell good’."

According to one of the confessions, a roommate discovered their counterpart was spying on them through the peep-hole while they were getting ready to shower.

Some of the more awkward encounters involved a person unexpectedly entering their shared room. A Whisper user said they found their roommate and girlfriend in bed together, after having walked into the room with their family.

Among the humorous encounters, one person revealed they found their roommate colouring in a 'My Little Pony' book. "This guy is [a] six-foot-something, 27-year-old man," they said.
