Baddeley's Lottery delight
Steve Baddeley believes England have been handed the money to make them one of the world's leading nations again following a lottery grant of almost pounds 1m.
Baddeley, the director of elite play and a former European and Commonwealth champion, said: "It's a 1,000 per cent improvement on what we have to spend. It's phenomenal."
The award gives Baddeley a chance of lifting England to the level of his heyday in the mid-1980s when they competed with the Asian nations on almost equal terms.
