PAUL INGLE is thinking over one of the biggest decisions of his career after being approached to fight for two versions of the world featherweight title.

Ingle's manager and promoter, Frank Maloney, is behind the bid that would see Ingle meet the Mexican Manuel Medina for the International Boxing Federation title, possibly in his home town, Scarborough, or Hull, depending on sponsorship.

Maloney's offer also involves guarantees of two other fights, but Ingle has also had a four-fight deal offered to him, which includes a meeting with the International Boxing Organisation featherweight champion, Junior Jones, in America during early November.

That offer has been made by Prince Promotions, the management and promotions company set up to oversee the interests of Prince Naseem Hamed, who beat Ingle for the World Boxing Organisation version of the featherweight title last April.

Ingle, who was 27 last month, said: "Before Prince Promotions made the four-fight offer everything was flat, but in the space of three weeks I have had two world-title offers.

"I have always wanted to fight for a world title in my home town. It's a chance for Scarborough to get a world title fight. I have youth on my side. Medina is over 30."
