BOXING

Frank Bruno yesterday maintained he was still on course for a fourth world heavyweight title shot - and a possible rematch with Mike Tyson, who knocked him out in their first meeting in 1989.

The man who stands in the way is Ray Anis of Haiti, who has won 19 of his 20 contests, and is ranked No 23 in the world by the World Boxing Council. If, as expected, Bruno overcomes Anis at Glasgow's Kelvin Hall on 13 May, he will then meet the winner of this weekend's showdown in Las Vegas between the reigning WBC champion, Oliver McCall, and the 45- year-old former champion, Larry Holmes, in July.

"I think McCall will win that one," Bruno said. "Holmes has a lot of experience, but McCall is the younger and hungrier of the two. I would fancy my chances very, very strongly against either of them. McCall is a seasoned professional, but this is my time now."
