Lennox Lewis yesterday won a temporary High Court order preventing the World Boxing Council from sanctioning a heavyweight title bout between Frank Bruno and Mike Tyson.
Lewis, the former champion, issued a writ preventing Bruno making his first defence against Mike Tyson two days ago. The court ordered Lewis's injunction against the WBC should stand until Thursday's full hearing.
Lewis beat Lionel Butler in an eliminator which his handlers say earned him first shot at the title. Frank Warren, Bruno's promoter, will fight the injunction.
