Commonwealth Games / Round-Up: Cook vows to play it straight
JASON COOK has promised to cut out his clowning during the remainder of the Games. The Maesteg featherweight tried his own Muhammad Ali routine on the way to a 15-0 victory over Francis Passingan of Papua New Guinea.
The Welsh boxer faces Daniel Attah, of Nigeria, in the next round and said: 'I've been doing the Ali bit for a couple of years now, but I don't intend to do it against the Nigerian. He's too cagy.'
In the diving, Canada won four of the six medals on offer on Saturday with a victory for Jason Napper on the springboard and a clean sweep in the women's 10-metre platform. However, the Australians complained about the scores needed to win medals being displayed during the final round, saying they could have influenced the judges.
