ENGLAND suffered their second loss to the Netherlands in four years on Saturday in Haarlem. Ironically it was a New Zealander, Roger Bradley, and an Australian, Peter Cantrell, who sealed the seven-wicket defeat with 88 not out and 64 respectively.

England set the Dutch 189 after struggling to 90 for 4 off 35 overs at lunch. The captain, Mark Benson, took 47 overs to score 58. The 138 partnership for the third wicket between Bradley and Cantrell sealed another embarassing defeEat.

Keith Fletcher, the England manager, admitted that Martin McCague and Mark Illot should not have gone on the trip, sTHER write erroraying they would have been better off at home recharging their batteries for another crack at Australia.
