The West Indies will open a five-Test series against Australia in Brisbane on 22 November and the second Test will begin a week later in Sydney. Sydney will also host a day-night, one-day international match on New Year's Day between Australia and Pakistan, who will join Australia and the West Indies in a triangular series. The final Test between Australia and the West Indies will be played in Perth from 1-5 February.

Stuart Law will make his Essex debut in their Benson and Hedges Cup game against Glamorgan at Cardiff tomorrow. The 28-year-old Australian, the county's overseas replacement for Mark Waugh, is expected to open the innings with captain Paul Prichard.
