Warwickshire, the county champions, have given a one-year contract to Michael Edmond, an English qualified pace bowler from Sydney who helped his adopted country win the Indoor World Cup in Birmingham last October.

Glamorgan announced a record profit of pounds 103,152 for the year ending 30 November 1995. It is the third successive year the county has shown a profit.
