Cycling: Kelly keeps options open
Sean Kelly is reconsidering his plan to retire at the end of the month. Having finished fourth in last week's Paris-Tours World Cup race, Kelly has given himself until 30 November to find a contract for next year. The 37-year-old Irishman, who is understood to want to ride only in the classics and three and four-stage races, is hoping to attract interest from a Dutch or Belgian team. In Monza, Maurizio Fondriest struggled home 11th in the Tour of Lombardy but that was enough to ensure the Italian his second World Cup title.
