Members of the public getting far too snap-happy has been a problem of late, with the selfie craze in particular causing a whole host of problems.

Now, a camera obsessed spectator has caused the Giro D'Italia favourite, Alberto Contador, to dislocate his shoulder, damaging the Spaniard's chances of winning the event outright.

To make matters worse, the incident occurred in the final 300m of the sixth stage of the Giro D'Italia.

A spectator leaned over the barriers to take a photo, clipping rider Daniele Colli with his camera, thus causing the cyclist to fall and bring down others, including Contador.

Despite Contador's evident frustration, the Spaniard managed to remount his bike and cross the line at the same time as stage winner Andre Greipel. Contador still leads the Giro by two seconds.
