Darts: Wilson takes early exit
JOCKY WILSON, twice the Embassy world champion, was knocked out of the unofficial Skol world championship at Purfleet last night after a second successive defeat. Wilson had lost to Dennis Priestley the previous day, and was again in poor form when he lost 3-1 to Graeme Stoddart.
Eric Bristow also trod a rocky path and had to survive a match dart before beating Sean Downs, the American, 3-2.
In the British Open Championship in Earls Court, Martin Adams, the England captain, beat Sweden's Stefan Nagy 2-0 in the final to take the title.
